Scout Scarf - Knitting Pattern
The Scout Scarf is our new autumn-winter staple! Its versatile triangular design can be worn in various ways. It's knitted flat from side-point to side-point, using a fun twisted stitch that creates a wavy texture as you work.
With step-by-step, easy-to-follow instructions, this pattern uses the following techniques: Long tail cast on, knit, purl, slip stitches, increases, decreases, twisting stitches, cast off.
Skill Level: Easy/IntermediateSize: One Size - 93cm/36¾'' x 37cm/14½''
Yarn: Aran/Worsted airspun yarn with approx 150m per 50g. You will need 300m to complete the scarf. For the pink scarf we used:
2 balls of Drops Air in colour 52 - 65% Alpaca, 28% Polyamide, 7% wool. (150m/164yds per 50g ball.)
Alternative yarns: Lana Grossa Brigette No.2, Sadnes Garn Kos.or
One strand of sport weight yarn held with one strand of fingering weight yarn. You will need approx 300m of each yarn. For the blue scarf we used:
2 balls of Oenling No.20 Shetland Wool in colour 113 Lysebla - 100% Shetland Wool. (225m/247yds per 50g ball.)
Alternative yarns: CaMaRose Hverdagsuld, Lana Grossa Cool Wool, Drops Alpaca.+
2 balls of Oenling No.10 Silk Mohair in colour 1234 sky blue - 70% Super Kid Mohair, 30% Silk. (210m/230yds per 25g ball.)
Alternative yarns: Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair, Lana Grossa Silkhair, Drops Kid-Silk.or
DK/Light Worsted yarn with approx 110m per 50g. For the purple scarf we used:
3 balls of Kremke Soul Wool Merry Merino 110 GOTS in colour 32 Lila - 100% wool. (110m/120yds per 50g ball.)
Alternative yarns: Sadnes Garn Double Sunday, Drops Daisy.Suggested Needle Size: 5mm/US 8 needles
