The Blok Top is a classic summer crop, crocheted in an all-over three colour block stitch. The pattern is designed for you to adapt and get creative, choosing colours and experimenting with strap placement.

 

This pattern provides easy-to-follow detailed instructions using the following techniques: Chain stitch, double crochet, spike double crochet, single crochet, and crochet edging. All crochet terminology is US.

Option to tailor the pattern to your chest measurement in the instructions. Model wears size 2 (S). 

 

Yarn: Any DK weight yarn in 3 colours. For the navy/brown/grey top we have used: 

 

Colour A, brown - 2 [2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4] balls of Rico Essentials, Organic Cotton DK, colour 014 Chocolate - 100% Organic Cotton. (105m/115yds per 50g skein.)

Colour B, grey - 2 [2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4] balls of Stylecraft Naturals, Organic Cotton DK, colour 7204 Storm - 100% Organic Cotton. (105m/115yds per 50g skein.)

Colour C + edging, navy - 2 [2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4] balls of Rico Essentials, Organic Cotton DK, colour: 017 Navy Blue - 100% Organic Cotton. (105m/115yds per 50g skein.)

 

This is also a great project to use up any ends or half balls of yarn left over from past projects. You won't get a 3 colour check pattern, but you can work 1 row in each different yarn/colour. See pictures for an example of this.
